General Partners

  • Miguel Herrera

    Miguel Herrera is the co-founder and Managing Partner of LIVHealth.

    Co-founder of Quona Capital, a leading Fintech Impact VC fund, Miguel was previously an investor at Accion Investments in Microfinance.  Miguel has also served on boards of banks, startups, and funds. He has finance experience from Citigroup, RBC, and Scotiabank.

    Born and raised in Peru, he holds a BAH from Queen’s University and an MBA from Simon Fraser University.  

  • Femke Smeets

    Femke Smeets is co-founding Partner at LIVHealth. As partner at Total Impact Capital, Femke led its healthcare advisory and impact investment projects.

    Previously, Femke worked as head of business development for PharmAccess Group, focusing on digital and finance solutions for health access in Africa. She launched the Technical Assistance facility of the Medical Credit Fund, and advised DFIs on project finance initiatives.

    Femke holds a Bsc. in business administration and an MSc. in international relations from the University of Amsterdam.

  • Danilo Gaspar

    Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Danilo Gaspar is a LIVHealth co-founder.

    Danilo has been a VC investor since 2012, and has been specialized in HealthTech since 2018. Previously, Danilo was in charge of corporate VC at Afya, and served as a professor at Albert Einstein Hospital group. In addition, he spearheaded the formation of Eretz.bio (Einstein Hospital’s CVC). Danilo made more than 30 health VC investments.

    An entrepreneur at heart, he co-founded healthcare startups Cuidar.me and Vitalicia.
